Mistake in service book unable to get pension

My father got retired on 2016 and now we come to know there is some over writing in service book. In the DOB line it was over written but correct one is mention but without any initial. since we do not have any prof certificate of his DOB . He got retired from 4th grade already more than 3 months we are not getting pension . Please tell me some solution.
Hi, this is strange to me that your father is not getting pension even after three months. Armed Forces provide pension from very next month of retirement if he is superannuated. If any mistake in DOB is happened please write to concerned Record Office by way of simple application I am sure it will be done. If not we are there to help you. Regards
