19-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am married. From past 1year i am working with Private company. But as company is not in Mumbai they allowed me to do work from home from a day i joined. Now i am pregnant and ask for maternity benefit. But they denied it saying that you are doing work from home so that maternity leave benefit is not entitled to you. Please guide me on this.

Hi,
Maternith benefit is extended to private company. However what are the terms of your work contact and agreement. It is well laid out in the appointement order.sice you are already availing the maternity leave benfit you cannot claim the leave benefit you can claim medical expenses, insurence, reimboursements as per the terms of your employment contract.
