Legal notice from Ex-employer demanding 2 months Saalry with interest

28-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi, i have worked for only 8 working days, in a company but due to the company behaviour and even not allocated a desk for me for a week, and asked to sit in library. I have decided to leave the company with out servicing the Notice period, and by mail I have submitted the resignation to them. I have not even collected the Company ID card. Now they have sent me a legal notice me to pay the 2 months Notice period amount along with 14% interest on the same. Please suggest how to treat this.

As per the recent development in law made by the Supreme Court and various High Courts, such bonds are lopsided and are not legal and enforceable under law.

You can send a legal notice to the company for asking for your dues.

If the company takes any legal action against you to ask for the bond amount, you must contest it in the court of law as the enforcement of these employment bonds is not maintainable under law.
