Is it compulsory to get the PH Certificate renewd

I m working in govt. Sponsored school...i work in PH category post.,,but now my PH certificate validation is over,,so i want to know is it compulsury to renewal my certificate??and if i found fit now then there is any problem ??
Permanent disability certificates once issued need not be renewed unless and until there is some new disabling condition affecting the person. Temporary certificates are reviewed only after the time given by the board for re-assessment.
