How to react for legal notice form previous company after resignation

hi sir, I was join one company on july 2015. bt there was such a structure as follow.1.first 3 month training for that we have to pay 24000/- cash. July 2015-sept 2015. Bt they increade traing up to nov 2015 without any payment. 2. After set they offer me to join as GET for six month With 8000/- stiepend per month. In may 2016. I accept that offer which was on company letter pad only. 3. After completion of six montj GET period they offer to join as project engineer with 10000/- per month bt this time they mention in offer letter that, i have to serve for 2 year mendatory. If u nt serve u hv to pay back to company 48000/- 4. Bt i resign in sept 2016 witb resignation mail bt he nt appove that mail. Jst he sait u will nt get reliving letter and exp. Letter u will get it by post after 2years. 5.in oct 2016 i join another company. Bt after six month of resignation my previous company sen me legal notice through advocate on his letter pad. To pay back 48000/- to compnay. What to do nw

as your employer has sent you a legal notice you are not bound to reply it, but replying a legal notice is beneficial to you in future if your employer files a case against you. its advisable to reply to it through a lawyer. you can also speak to them regarding the dispute between employer and employee
