Harassement by employer for extra work and no pay what should I do

12-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I work in urban development authority and am a govt employee. I am being constantly exploited beyond my control and capacity. I am forced to work on holidays and after hours up to later nights frequently. I am not given any compensation leave or overtime money. I am unable to spend time with my family and unable to concentrate on my part time PhD studies. I am constantly demoralized by my work. Please advise what further action can be taken?

A suit for damages may be filed against your boss in a civil court. But ideally one should start with approaching the management of the Company so that an internal inquiry may be conducted against the concerned person. One will need enough proof of harassment to successfully sue the boss. Also with greater details the possibility of filing a criminal complaint against the concerned person could be explored.
