Got convicted for 3 years if I appeal will this effect my job?

I am a central govt. servant , convicted for 3 yrs by a pune court in a cbi case. Will my job be terminated even if i appeal in the high court?
If you appeal and obtain a stay on the impunged order then till the appeal is decided , the CBI cannot terminate you. However if the court disallows the stay then CBI can terminate you from your job
