Enforce-ability of a Business Associate agreement

23-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I work as a Business Associate(not on the payroll),for a property consultancy company which has made me sign an agreement for which there are many clauses which are not individually justified and reads only in the interest of the company. This was a profit sharing agreement and I was sold on a dream for sky high profits, which is impossible in reality.I had quit my cushy job for this and I find myself in a mess now. One of the clauses say, that I cannot operate a similar biz/work in the real estate industry for 24 months after separation. Will there be any legal repercussions if I quit?Help!

Hello,
If you quit than you are restraint from seeking employment from the competitor as per the agreement you signed. Usually these agreements are not executable in court of law but they can be put before arbitration.
