Employment bond signed for 3 years but want to quit after 1 year

I have signed a employment bond for 5 years which has a value of 3 lakhs, now after one year I want to quit because of health issues and nature of work. Now the employer is not ready to give my relieving letter and he is treating for 3 lakhs compensation pls help what could be the consequences

At the time of joining the company and at the time of signing the contract were you aware of such rules. According to Supreme Court judgement the companies are not liable to restrict the employee from leaving or paying the money to the company as it infringes the fundamental rights of the person. But the companies are not taking the ruling seriously and still get bonds and contact signed from their employees. Try to negotiate with your company and get the reliving letter.
