Employer not giving official reliving letter and holding salary

21-Nov-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am working with a US based startup for past 18 months. The firm is registered in India and located there DC in Hyderabad. Its a job where i work remotely from my home in Bangalore and recently in the month of August I have notified the Owner about my resignation over the mail. He had responded to that mail but hadn't put any specific date for reliving me from my current employee agreement. Now the Owner is not ready to relive me and asking me to continue to work on the same project till completion of it, which may take 3-4 months. In this case what are the options I have to get a proper reliving and experience certificate from my current organization. Also how to get the FFS from them since they stopped paying after I had notified about the resignation.

Its the statutory duty of any organisation ( in this case your company) to pay all dues and taxes as per the applicable laws. There is nothing like not being able to afford under the law. The company it appears is not willing to pay your legitimate dues and you should take appropriate action as per law.
