Employer filed false complaint and not returning dues. What to do?

07-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I had spent some amount and directly given him some amount when he was in need of it. It totally amounta to 19080.(this includes my first month salary of 10000 rs) i was working for him for a month and after that i moved on to the next company where he informed me that his company was acquired by the parent company. Now after six months i was asked to resign. I duly accepted that and all the payments from the parent company are issued. But when i asked my boss about 19080 with the concern of the senior bosses from the parent company he sent an image of the cheque dated on 5th of march and to. My name. On 5th march, when i asked him, he is saying that my activities in the company for the past six months were suspicious. And he has already filed a complaint against my activities and he informs me that he will give the amount after the verification in a police station to my parents.

Hello,
From your query, there are two separate issues at hand. One is to do with the repayment of the amount due to you from your employer, and the other is the police complaint. As far as the amount due to you is concerned, you may have a legal notice issued to your employer with the details of the amount and calling upon him to repay the same within a time limit. As for the police complaint, if the same has been registered by the police, the police will investigate the same. It would be advisable for you to hire a criminal lawyer to defend and advise you in these proceedings.
