Employee trying to accuse me in a false case what should I do

i have resigned & it was well accepted & I served for 20 days but by mistake i had their laptop with me. Now they are asking & threating me that confidential information can be leaked by you so come & re-join & handover the asset laptop nd sim. I sent them laptop with courier but they rejected it. now what to do in this case. Same thing they have done with my other colleagues also. who-ever is leaving the company he is framed by the managment.
You are not required to worry as you never leaked any information. Also, you can return the said laptop as such warning and request of re-joining amounts to extortion for which you can file a FIR in the nearest police station under section 154 CrPC.

Once your resignation is accepted your erstwhile employer can not compel you to rejoin. No doubt it can proceed by filing criminal case against you for criminal breach of trust etc. Take the union/association of the organisation into confidence to hand over the items of the employer. Labour officer of the area and the local police may also be approached by you to resolve the issue.
