08-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)

I am a diploma holder in electrical engineering, l&t gave me job in the field of EHS, I don't liked the job as my stream is changed, I have a bond agreement of 2 years or I have to give 50,000 as liquidated damages, they 1. Do not tell me about my job as a ehso, 2. They told me that they will provide me training of 1 year, but they gave me only 2 day training, and 1 day orientation before joining, 3. As I saw I am risking the safety of others by working there, as I don't know anything about safety I absconded the company after 6months of working. Can they clame 50,000rs agreement money? Please

The company cannot claim the amount of your bond, as such agreements are not valid contracts. If they do put pressure on you to pay such amount, you should rebuff them strongly and refuse to pay any amount.

Without seeing the terms of the agreement it is difficult to advise on this issue.
Generally both the consenting party to an agreement is liable for due compliance of terms of the agreement.
However if it is found that the terms of the agreement is unconscionable, unfair or one sided then its terms is not binding on the aggrieved person.
