Company not paying due salary what action can be taken

Hi, I worked in a company called Campus Diaries Private Limited for 6 months. They paid salary for 2 months. For 3rd month they paid half of the salary. Remaining 3 months they dint pay at all in total 6 months work in that firm. I left company 4 months back. I was told that they will pay the salary once their financial conditions are good. I am calling them once in a while and they do not receive call. I sent out mail to CEO. He replied saying he will call and he dint. I sent him mail saying "I can not wait and I will start with legal procedure". What should be my next step? Please advise.

As a first step, you could issue a legal notice to the employer calling upon the employer to pay you the due salary amount. If they fail to pay the amount or fail to approach you for a settlement post the issuance of a legal notice, you could consider initiating legal proceedings against the employer.
