Clarification regarding Labor Welfare Fund Act

06-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hey, I just wanted a small clarification w.r.t. Labour Welfare Fund Act. Our company has taken registration under A.P. Labour Welfare Fund and has also made the contributions in Hyderabad. Now, our company has opened a separate office in Bangalore. I just wanted to know would we require separate LWF registration under the Karnataka LWF Act or the same registration would suffice and we can make the payments for the contributions taken by employees working in Bangalore and pay them in Hyderabad itself. As per my understanding, we would require separate registrations as the rates of contributions vary. I hope you could help me out with this. Much thanks in advance.

Any industry which is into business, trade, undertaking, manufacture or calling of employers and includes any cslling , service, employment, handicraft or industrial occupation or avocation of workmen will be governed by the provisions of Industrial Disputes Act which includes private companies as well and no employee can be terminated arbitrarily. Thus, for this purpose your company needs to be registered under the Labour Welfare fund and in case you already have registered your company then it is ok you don't need to register it again. As now it will be governed by the rules and regulations of the previous registration.
