Can my representative be appointed as executive or office bearer

hello, I need some legal assistance regarding INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE ACT 1947 & TRADE UNION ACT 1926. I have dispute with my employer and enquiry is taken place. As per above stated acts I can give my REPRESENTATIVE. My trade union, where I am a member, hire a legal adviser and also entitled him as honorary member of trade union. now he is participating in LTA discussions along with trade union. Right now I want to give him as my representative. but enquiry officer does not accept him as EXECUTIVE or OFFICE BEARER (as per above stated act). now tell me that , can we take him as EXECUTIVE or OFFICE BEARER of trade union as per acts? also give me reference of any case in which court is accepted honorary member as trade union EXECUTIVE or OFFICE BEARER and act as REPRESENTATIVE. thank you
