can i take legal action against the Employer if there is no agreement?

i was hired by a company on verbal terms. i worked for them for 9 months. after that they fired me and gave all the salary in Cash. there is no agreement between us. can i take any legal action against them.

If you have any written exchanges or communications indicating the terms of your arrangement then you may proceed against the company.

Please substantiate the grounds on which you wish to proceed against the company in detail as you have stated that your dues have been paid.
