Can I leave a company if my notice period is not accepted by employer

23-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I've tried to give the notice period to my employer but they are not accepting it. Can I leave the company saying that since you have not accepted my notice period so I've to leave ? Also I have a employment contract stating 2 months written notice period otherwise pay the salary of that period. Can a employer claim that 2 months compensation even after not accepting the notice period.

No employer can force you to stay back on your job even when you want to give notice period. Once your salary for the month is paid. Send a email to the your boss and copy to the director saying that you would not be coming to office from So-so date and mention in the email that you are willing and ready to give the notice period, but its them who is not accepting the same. Also handover all the white goods like laptop phone etc and do take a receipt.
