Can i get stay on my Government service and resume later ?

Hi, i am from Guwahati and i have been working in a government job since the past 7 years in Delhi. I have small kids in Guwahati and I have given an application for transfer which has been rejected. Is there any provision by which i can quit my job for a couple of years and resume in the same job after a break since my kids are very small. kindly help?
You may ask for your sabbatical leaves from the government joining the organization back after some time. You can also take study leave from the government but in this case you have to enroll yourself in some academic institute to study some course in actual which will help you and the organization in undertaking the job more efficiently and diligently.
