Can I get child care leave recently joined as bank officer

I underwent cesarean and deliverd beby thereafter i recieved a joining letter from united bank of india to join on 16 May.After joining since there is no body to take care of my beby ,applied for leave without pay for six month to take care of my beby. But now they compell me to resume my duties.Kindly help me in this regard .
