Can I ask for interest from employer for salary dues

I have reigned from my previous employer in march and they have hold my feb salary. And every time when i ask for salary they said next ween we will pay you. I have every prove, include voice call record. I just want to know can i take interest in my hold salary from employer.

Yes you can. Serve a legal notice upon them through an advocate. Even after service of legal notice if they do not act you may file a recovery suit for recovery of your salary. There are many other modes legally through which you can recover your salary.

Please take note of following -
1. You need to send them a legal notice asking for your Full and Final settlement and for your reliving as per the employment agreement which you have with yourself and your previous organization.
2. If they fails to respond to the notice or do not give any proper response thereto then you can drag them before the competent court of jurisdiction.
As far as interest rate is concerned then yes you can ask for that as well, plus the compensation towards mental harassment and the agony you have gone through.
