Can govt jobs groups be changed once selected in different groups

Actually, Now i am Working as a Group D worker in one of the Govt. Departnent, and also i have written Some Group B and C recruitment examinations, My Question is, if i got Selected in Group B & C jobs, is it possible to resign this Current Group D job and Join new Group B job, Kindly suggest me.
You need not to worry you can change the job. As you have appeared for various better jobs and if you got selected then you can upgrade your job. Anyday you have all the rights to get a better job if you deserve it. Even after b or c grade you can go for getting grade A jobs.
