Well your act of pushing to defend a woman in your office may not be narrated in the way you have explained and it would not be surprising if that person files a complaint against you for taking law in your own hand. Therefore, it is advisable that in order to protect your rights you loadge a complaint against the offender for outraging the modesty of women and other offences which can be advised only once the whole incident is narrated in detail. You must also mention that you anticipate that the said offender might lodge false and frivillous complaint against you.

Dear Concerned,

The law recognizes the actions taken in self defence or in defence of the person of any other individual, as valid defence for offences related to Human Body / injury. Therefore, you may get complete immunity from the consequences of such actions. Please make it sure that you have sufficient witnesses to the incident who can vouch for your requirement of hitting the bad guy.
