Can a case be filed against a employer.

03-Dec-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I joined this Indian company, to work for a very senior executive. this executive is very abusive, screams and yells at the top of his voice in front of all other staff, and caused so much mental stress and trauma that forced me to resign within one month of joining. also being a lady, there is no respect, no sensitivity, made to work on a daily basis 10-12 hours. they do not even check if you have transport going home, or anyone to escort you to your transport nothing. being a lady and being humiliated every single day. do i have a case against my employer? he is a VERY BIG SHOT with big connections. please advise.

A suit for damages may be filed against your boss in a civil court. But ideally one should start with approaching the management of the Company so that an internal inquiry may be conducted against the concerned person. One will need enough proof of harassment to successfully sue the boss. Also with greater details the possibility of filing a criminal complaint against the concerned person could be explored.
