Benefits of new maternal laws amendment 2016

I am on maternal leave from June and my leave is to expire in August. Since the maternal laws have been amended, will the new law be applicable to my case as well ?
In response to your query regarding maternal leave I would like to inform you that the bill was passed in rajya sabha so still it will be enacted when it got ascent from the president after that only you will be eligible for six months maternity leave.
