Are temporary employees eligible to get gratuity

I want to confirm , I have worked regularly 7.5 years (08/2009 to 12/2016) in a Stock Broking firm as Temporary basis employee . when i ask for my gratuity to company they refuse to pay, he told me no gratuity for temporary employees, MY PF Regularly deducted by the company and salary came in directly in my bank a/c my total salary was 9800/- and i have received 8449/- after deduction PF and professional tax, i want to confirm that, am i eligible for gratuity or not?

If your CTC shows the deductions related to gratuity then you are eligible to get gratuity from your employer. Moreover whosoever is eligible for the PF deduction is also eligible for the gratuity irrespective of the fact that whether he is a temporary employee or a permanent.
