A credit given to customer wrongly against cheque bounce

I am an emplyee in a pvt bank and i have done a mistake that a customer has deposited a cheque in his account and the cheque bounce due to insufficient funds and i hv given credit to customer and customer consumes the entire funds and now he denied to pay back What a pvt bank can do with the employee for such mistake

as you have gone out of the way to help the person. the bank will conduct proper inquiry against you and may also file a complaint. You can be suspended or terminated from your job and would be asked to give the amount back to the Bank as you have committed a wrong.

As a organisation bank have rights to make recovery for the mistake done but at worst case.primary talk formal to costumer who got credited amount saying that he can take action and lodge FIR as his cheque got bounce and court will automatically direct bank/police to make recovery with intrest to him.And and if it doesn't go give a legal notice to both parties from bank side.
