Policy holder Murdered/commited Suicide after purchasing policy

26-Sep-2023 (In Insurance Law)
I am a LIC Agent. Recently a 26 years old unmarried person purchase a risk cover policy (Jeevan Anand) from me and unfortunately, next day after purchasing he died (Murder/Suicide). The nominee of the policy is his widow Aunt. Today, local police called me for investigation. I gave them all the details I know along with phone call details of that day. As I know, no FIR is lodged against me. My queries are: - What should I do whenever police called me for investigation? - Can police arrest me... any possibility? - Is there be any possibility of criminal case against me? -

Although there is nothing against you in the above-said case. So prima facie Police should not arrest you. But it depends upon the rest clues or evidences collected or recorded by the Police whether Police include your in Charge Sheet or not. Moreover you have nothing to say other than that you were no where involve in the above-said matter and you were not involve in any conspiracy.
