How to claim insurance if vehicle has already been sold?

16-Sep-2023 (In Insurance Law)
Dear Sir/madam, My father passed away last year and i reported to the insurance office (United India Insurance) within 10 days and filed an OD claim within a month and submitted all the papers. The manager verified all the original documents and sent it to the head office only after 6 months and now after my documents are in the head office, they are asking for the original RC of the bike that was involved in the accident, but I have already shown it to the manager at the beginning and asked him if it is okay to sell the bike since I was in financial distress and he said it is okay. Now I do not know what to do. The head office is asking for the original RC, but I have already sold the bike. I am in great stress and it would be really great if you could show me a way out of this problem.

AS per your query, you need to speak to the insurance company stating that you do not have the original RC with you as you have already sold the bike to someone. if they still insist on the paper then you can show the transfer papers of the bike.
