    Hyderabad traffic police has imposed the following fines and Challans. We have listed down the detailed traffic offences, section governing the offences and the maximum –minimum penalty associated with the offences.
     

    Document Related Traffic Fines

    1. Driving without Driving License - M.V.Act.181- Rs 300/- 2, 3 and 4 Wheelers and Rs 500/- 6 Wheelers.             
    2. Driving without Vehicle Registration- M.V.Act.192 (1) - Rs 1000/- 2, 3 and 4 Wheelers and Rs 2000 /- 6 Wheelers. 
    3. Driving without Permit- M.V.Act.192 (A) - Court. 
    4. Driving without Insurance- M.V.Act.196- Rs 300/- 2, 3 and 4 Wheelers and Rs 600/-6 Wheelers. 
    5. Underage Driving- M.V.Act.181- Rs 300/- 2, 3 and 4 Wheelers and Rs 500/- 6 Wheelers.
     

    Driving Related Traffic Fines

    1. No Entry Violation- M.V.Act.177- Rs 200/- 2, 3, 4 and 6 Wheelers.
    2. One way Violation- M.V.Act 177- Rs 200/- 2, 3, 4 and 6 Wheelers.
    3. U-Turn Violation-    M.V.Act 177- Rs 200/- 2, 3, 4 and 6 Wheelers.
    4. Prohibited area Violation- M.V.Act 177- Rs 200/- 2, 3, 4 and 6 Wheelers.
    5. Rash and Negligent Violation- M.V.Act 184(b)- Rs 1000/- 2, 3, 4 and 6 Wheelers.
    6. To Travel on Footpath- M.V.Act.123(ii)-  Court or Rs 50 to Rs 200/- Fine.
    7. To run away after committing offence- M.V. Act. 187- Court.
    8. To drive and use unsafe Vehicle- M.V.Act.190(1)- Court.
    9. Regarding wearing of Helmet- M.V.Act. 129/177- Rs 200
    10. To drive overweight Vehicle- M.V.Act 194- Rs 1000 per ton or Court.
    11. Unauthorized Interference regarding motor vehicle- M.V.Act 198- Rs 100/- by RTA.
    12. To allow unauthorized person to drive – M.V Act 180- Rs 1000
     

    Road Marking Related Offences

    1. Violation of stop line- M.V.Act.177- Rs 200
    2. Violation of lane- M.V.Act. 177- Rs 200
     

    Number Plate Related Offences

    1. Irregular Number plate- M.V.Act. 80- Rs 200
     

    Traffic Police Related Violation

    1. Disobeying Traffic Police in Uniform- M.V.Act. 132- Rs 200
     

    Traffic Signal Related Offences

    1. Signal Jumping- M.V.Act. 184- Rs 1000
    2. Violation of Stop Signal- M.V.Act. 177- Rs 200
     

    Speed or Overtake Related Offences

    1. Using mobile phone while driving- M.V.Act.184(a)- Rs 1000
    2. Driving under the influence- M.V.Act.185- Court.
     

    Offences Related to towing of vehicle

    1. Two Wheelers- C.P.Act. 41(i)- Rs 150
    2. Car, Jeep, Auto-Rickshaw- C.P.Act. 41(i)- Rs 200
    3. Light Motor Vehicle- C.P.Act. 41(i)- Rs 300
    4. Heavy Motor Vehicle- C.P.Act.41(i)- Rs 600
     

    Offences Related to Pollution

    1. Without PUC Certificate- M.V.Act. 190- Rs 1000
     

    Offences Related to Motor Vehicle

    1. Overloading of goods Vehicles- M.V.Act. 422(i)- Rs 200
    2. Carrying goods in dangerous manner- M.V.Act. 422(ii)- Rs 200
     

    Offences Related to Commercial Vehicles

    1. Playing in “NO ENTRY” Time- M.V.Act. 199/177- Rs 200
    2. Carrying person dangerously or in goods Vehicles- M.V.Act.177 / R.36(vii)- Rs 200
    3. Overload of Auto with School Children- M.V.Act.177 / R.36(iii)- Rs 100 to Rs 200
     

    Offences Related to Parking

    1. Wrong Parking- M.V.Act.122,177- Rs 200
    2. Illegal Parking on Public road- M.V.Act.122,177- Rs 200
     

    E-Challan Payment

    E-Challan Payment is an on the spot traffic ticket issued by Hyderabad traffic police. You can check your violations records and monetary fine and pay the Challan in cash or at e-seva centre or by any other online payment mechanism.

    How to check your Challan status

    Step 1- Go to the official website. www.echallan.org .
    Step 2- Once you enter the E-Challan website you will have a form to enter your vehicle number.
    Step 3 - Enter the complete number of your Vehicle Including the missing zeros.
    Step 4- If there are any pending Challans on your Vehicle, the same shall be listed on the page.
    Step 5- If there are no Challans then you will be updated with a message saying no Challans.
    Step 6- If there is any wrong Challan or the vehicle in the photograph with Challan is not your vehicle or issued double Challan. Check the box beside the Challan number and click on “report to us”.
     

    How to make payment for E-Challan

    Step 1- Go to the following site- http://www.esevaonline.com
    Step 2- Click on Register and enter all the details with your Username and Password.
    Step 3- Once you have registered go to http://www.esevaonline.com  again.
    Step 4- Click on Pay Bill or Go to ( link )
    Step 5- After Logging in Click on “You want to Pay Hyderabad Police Traffic Challan Click Here”.
    Step 6- If you do not see the above option, click on the tab at top left side “Add More Services” and Select Hyderabad Traffic Challan.
    Step 7- Enter your complete Vehicle Number in CAPS.
    Step 8- Once you enter your Motor Vehicle Number and click Submit then you will be shown the list of E-Challans pending against your vehicle. I
    Step 9- When having Multiple E-Challans, you can select all of them at once and click Submit. 
    Step 10- After clicking Submit you will be redirected to the following page where you will show the complete amount. 
    Step 11- Once you click Submit above you will redirected to ICICI Bank Payment Gateway where you can proceed to make the payment.
