IPC 351 in Simple Words
Section 351 of the Indian Penal Code states that if someone makes a gesture or prepares to use criminal force in a way that causes another person to fear an imminent attack, they are considered to have committed an assault.
A person who commits an assault is someone who intentionally or knowingly makes a gesture or prepares something, knowing that it is likely to cause anyone present to believe that the person making that gesture is about to use criminal violence on that person.
