IPC 268 in Simple Words
According to section 268 of the Indian Penal Code, a person is guilty of a public nuisance if they do anything that causes harm, danger, or annoyance to the public or people living nearby, and such a nuisance cannot be excused even if it brings some convenience or advantage.
Public nuisance is committed by anyone who commits an act, or who is responsible for an illegal omission, that causes injury, danger, or annoyance in general to people who live or own property nearby, or who must necessarily cause harm, obstruction, danger, or annoyance in persons who are in proximity.
