Whoever counterfeits, or knowingly performs any part of the process of counterfeiting Indian coin, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.



IPC 232 in Simple Words

In simple words, Section 232 of the Indian Penal Code states that if someone counterfeits or is involved in any step of counterfeiting Indian coins, they can be punished with either life imprisonment or imprisonment for up to ten years, and fined.
