How to get police clarification from india for US embassy immigration

My dad is iranian citizen, he used to live in india 40 years ago! He had interview at united state embassy in turkey for his visa but they asked him to provide them police clarifaction from india!! So wanted to know how can we get that letter ???
You may apply to the nearest Indian embassy providing with his details of visit and stay in india along with the address. The embassy would send it to the concern police station and get you Police Clearance Certificate issued. Or else you may appoint a attorney and send the details, your attorney in India would get the PCC issued from the concerned authorities.
