Wife is harassing the family and also threatening to life. what to do

Girl left the home locking the door and no one from at least did not receive the call to respond. Then we got a call from police to inform that she has given a complaint of 498 A to you and family but we went their with people and they spoke to them and withdraw the complaint and will live accordingly then when she came back I asked her to give me an affidavit regarding nothing happened as she complained,she denied and left back. Some of my relatives went to their home but were threatened to life . It happened six months back and now she again went to police station and trying to file all cases and harassing me and my family. Due to her aggressive character marriage is not even conjugated. What should I do now as they are also threatening to life

First of all, arrange a meeting between her parents and your parents and try to resolve the issues amicably. Also extend all possible help to her if she is depressed or need medical treatment. Still she is adamant on harassing you and your family members, there is no option but to get rid of her by filing for divorce. What is the duration of your marriage? If it is within 1 year you can file for annulment of the marriage under section 12 of HMA by dissolving the marriage by a decree of nullity and if the marriage is more than 1 year old, you can file a divorce petition under section 13 1( 1a) of HMA(Cruelty). However, before filing for divorce, you should be ready to face all possible aftermaths like facing false 498a, DVC, Sec 125 Cr.P.C etc. Therefore, it is you to decide if you want any kind of action from your side or simply wait for the time to decide your life.
