Whose caste applies on children, father's or mother's?

I am 25 years old. My Father belongs to BC & Mother belongs to SC. Now I want to apply for Govt. Jobs. Which caste I have to adopt in order to avoid further legal complications. Please quote some Supreme court judjements.

Dear Client,
As per law you have to adopt your father caste to avoid further legal complications. You must quote your father caste in variably in the applications that you sent to apply for jobs in other records.

Here your father belongs to Bc and mother belong to Sc. You have to mention in your applications that you belong to BC as the community of father continues and not of mother. You are eligible for BC reservation only.

Generally Your father's caste will be applicable to you .
However if you are brought up in circumstances that specifically are aligned to SC caste, you may claim SC Status.
