what relief under law for mental torture by husband?

Hindu female, married in 2012 august to hindu male. having problems after 3months of marriage. We have a 10month old son. Because of problem in marriage n baby I am mentally tortured. I am willing for professional marital counselling but husband not ready for counselling, not agreeing to divorce on mutual consent, not willing to adjust. Is ther any law wher husband can b askd to get professional counseling as its affecting wife health.
In this case file a case for domestic violence and when a case is filed it automatically is referred to counselling, even you can file a case for maintenance and divorce if you are not interested in leading life with him.

There is no such a provision in Law to force one spouse to undergo professional counselling at the instance / wish of another as what is called as professional marital counselling is not recognised in the same lines of other medical treatement/s. However, you can indirectly get similar things done by filing a suit and asking for mediation.

No madam there is no separate law to direct the husband to send him for professional counseling. You can approach Mahila Sahayavani and there the person doing counseling. I hope it is better. Even they will undertake him from not to toutre you and the child. For time being approach Mahaila Sahayavani
