Depending on the religion of your father , the law of succession will apply if your father has not left a will. A nominee is kind of caretaker of the property , and the lawful heir can claim their share.

if a hindu dying without will the property is distributed between class 1 heirs as per Hindu Succession Act
the rights of the legal heirs prevail on the right of nominee
if the class1 heirs absent property goes to class2 heirs if both absent proprty goes to the govt.

As per the Hindu Law of Succession, the property devolves equally upon all the legal heirs including married daughter. Nomination is only for the administrative convenience of the Housing Society. Nominee derives no legal title to the property. He only holds it in trust for all the other legal heirs. If you are the only surviving legal heir, then the right in the property would devolve upon you on the demise of your parents.

Nominee can be any one who may not be legal heair only the care taker of that property. The legal heairs are the property owners if there is no will. For further information need to chk your papers.
