What can be legal implication to husband and in-laws

Matrimonial . Marriage in 2001, Husband living separately since last 5years due to cruelty by wife.,Due to loss of job husband stopped paying wilful maintenance (No court case at the moment)since last one year.There is a 4year old child also with the wife.In laws never stayed with the wife for a single day.What can be legal implication to husband and in laws.
Wife can file for maintenance and seek for payment, as in laws did not stay wilfully she can state that she tried to stay but they did not, it is better to pay wife whatever little through NEFT or cheque.

Sir, it is advisable that you write a letter to the local police station (as well as her local police station) informing that your parents have never lived with the wife. Otherwise your wife may file false cases against you or your parents. You have to pay maintenance to your wife whether you have a job or not, that's the law. You may also claim maintenance if your wife has a job. Wait for your wife to institute a court case for maintenance or you may send her any meagre amount by money order. However, you will have to pay maintenance at any cost.

Why you did not file Divorce from your Wife. If you live seperately last 5 years, then it is a fit ground for Divorce. Stay with the in-laws is separate matter. The Court can't interfere with this matter directly.
