if you really want to get all the jewelries and other valuable from your in-laws than, first try to make a list of items, goods and jewelries etc along with approx values of the items and approach to any lawyer nearby deals with the family matters. these cases need detail discussion prior to approaching any court of law.

For the demand of dowry and for any kind of cruelty/torture, you can file complaint against your in-laws before Judicial Magistrate.

And for getting your jewellery and any other property back, you can file a civil suit for recovery of the property. Because such property is Stridhan and no one can deprive you of it.

I have seen your query and I suggest that, You can file a complaint under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code and dowry prohibition act. You can also file a complaint for getting back your streedhan. You can file the cases from the place where you are living.
