Validity of NC certificate

09-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
My family income was less than 6 Lpa during 2014-15 & more than that during 15-16 & 16-17 period. Can i apply for an NC certificate during 2017. Also if i want to take an exam dated Dec 2017 and also know that the admission procedure will only start by May 2018 which is just after the financial year. Will the NC certificate obtained during 2017 be valid till then, also my Annual income will cross 6Lpa in 3 consecutive years if i were to apply for new NC certificate in 2018. So when is the ideal time to apply for an NC certificate. Please advise Sir.

As per government notification, to get Non Creamy Certificate you must not fall under below criterian:

Compute the income of your parents from salaries and income from other sources separately.(Income from other sources excludes salaries and agricultural land)

Income from Salaries(FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE YEARS)
Income from other sources(FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE YEARS)
If any of the 2 is above 6 lakhs ,then you fall under creamy layer.

Having said that, in your case in one year your family income is less than 6 lakh, so during 2017 only you apply for NC certificate as it is mentioned by you that in coming financial year family income will cross 6 lakh. And yes The OBC certificate obtained in 2017 shall remain valid .
