Hi, I am newly married and want to know, should my wife change her name and take my surname? What difficulty we may face if she choose to keep he maiden name? Thanks Sundram

Whether your retains her name or takes your surname is entirely her decision.There are no difficulty she will will face other than explaining at certain places or government offices that she has retained her maiden name .

your wife can retain her maiden name she wont face any difficulty legally. moreover if she wish to take your surname then she will have to change her surname in every document document right from aadhar card to pan card.
