Mental harassment by husband and in laws what action can I take

My husband and me are married since last 6.5 years. I have gone through a lot of mental abuse from him and his parents. As a result , we have lots of arguments. Recently, it has become worse since he, along with his parents, is also trying to physically harm me. He is asking me go for mutual divorce. Please advice me if I should go for it or I should file a case myself. He is earning well whereas I just got a contractual job. We have a 3.5 years old girl baby. He tell me he will teach me a good lesson by not giving a single penny as alimony. Please advice me.
There is a sevral remedies in the law for the harassment , u can file a domestic violence case against your husband , u can also ask for maintainence for yourself and your kid tooo...and as far as alimony is concerned u can get it only after u move for divoerced ..since alimony is only decided at the time of divoerce
