Me and girl are 20 years old can we get married

Me and my girlfriend are 20 years old can we get married? Because her dad is forcing her to get married which she doesn't like. What are the legal problems we face and how to overcome it? Pls help. We both are Hindus.
According to Hindu Marriage Act the minimum age for a girl to get married is 18 years and minimum age for a boy to get married is 21 years. Therefore you need cannot get married unless you attain age of 21 years.

You both are major, but your age is still 20, you cannot marry till you attain the age of 21. My suggestion is better to convince her parents with the help of elders. Try it, if they didn't agree for it then you both take your decision.

In India minimum required age to get married is 21 for boys and 18 for girls , hence you can wait for a year atleast , in case get father forces her to get married you both can object and inform police about it , they will help you , in case too much difficult you may contact us , got legal assistance .
