Maintenance under Parents Maintenance Act

My mother getting family pension of my father, an Ex MLA, approximately rs 12000 +.
Is she entitled to claim maintenance under parents maintenance Act from her sons unemployed /employed.?
Parental property left after by my father is also under my mother's possession.
Still she can claim maintenance from her sons and that is a matter adjudication that whether she is a dependent one or not, also it depends upon her life style and life style of her sons, that how do they live their lives as per their status.

Mother has right to get maintenance from her son .even she get Maintenance under parents act.but you have to prove that there are sufficient means she have to maintain herself.you can call or mail for further information

Dear , parents has a right to claim a maintenance from their son only if he is employed, in your case she has already getting maintenance, so chances are very less to get something additional, but she can claim.

Generally, a person can not claim maintenance from any of his children and other relatives if he or she is earning sufficient to survive. However, if he has sufficient ground to prove that he can not survive from the said earning then then he can claim maintenance.
