Is it beneficial to compromise in 498A case

21-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)

Respect lawyer, How beneficial is it to compromise with wife and in laws.. after they have filed a fake 498a,506 and other dowry cases against us. What are the positives and the negatives to this decision. Note I am working with a top MNC .. and it was a party right which turned abusive between my in laws and my parents.

As you said that you are working as a top mnc it you can always prove that your in law had filed false case against you but it's a time consuming process but since they are ready to compromise go for it as it best solution but don't commite anything against you in the compromise petition later on you can decide whether to married life are to go for divorce. If possible no itself as for mutual divorce becz you not given details of misunderstanding between you and your family

Dear Sir ,
Your query is insufficient and in adequate to give any ans. Do understand that law is not science which is fixed for all , every case differ in it's content , allegation , evidence , investing officer quality , intent , lawers of both party and finally honble court , hence if you can come up with the case and fir copy then would suggest in better way . Kindly contact with relevant document such as FiR copy , marriage certificate or proof of such etc . For better legal assistance .

If you want to continue your marital relationship with your wife and move forward then it is advisable to compromise with your wife and in laws. In case if you have already decided to give divorce to your wife, then as a part of giving divorce let your wife withdraw all her false complaint and close the case once for all.

Dear Querist,
If they are willing for compromise it is better settle the matter, as S.498 A is a dangerous section, if things do not go in your favor there is a possibility or arrest as well, as 498A has been filed you can also think of mutual consent divorce if they are willing for a compromise.

its better to wash off the hand rather than running to the court for the cases, and one time settlement will do, because you can look into your further rather than what happened in your life yestreday
