In-laws threatening to file a false 498 a case against me

hello, i have got threatening of 498a from the family of my fiancee's family, we were engaged in june and were planing to get married soon, but due my fiancees affair which is still continue, i took a decision to break the engagement. but this action got me threatening of suit under 498 A , where in the other hand i and my family had no intention ever to expect someone else money. pleas guide me asap if possible thanks
Firstly your fiancee's family or relatives cannot initiate section 498a as there is no marriage solmanised.
Treat it as a bare threat. They cannot do anything in law since you say that she has an affair.
