In laws shifted me to a rented flat where I am living alone what to do
01-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
I got married 3 years back as per Sanatan Hindu religion. After marriage, they directly took me to their house in native place instead of my husband's house in Mumbai, where we lived for around one week and then came to Mumbai. Can the Mumbai home be considered my matrimonial home where I lived for almost 5-6 months or the home in native place, where they took me after marriage, is my matrimonial home? Can they stop me from living in my matrimonial home? They shifted my luggage to a substandard rented flat with cctv cameras and microphones in bedroom and forcing to live there. What should I do
Your matrimonial home is only where your husband usually resides. Wherever you cohabiting with your husband is your place / home.
if anybody forcing you to live seperate from your husband, can take action under the law of Domestic violence.

Dear
Whichever house your husband and you have resided together for a brief period , be it your native house or the Mumbai House, can be considered your matrimonial home. Hence in this case, for the purpose of law, both the native house as well as the Mumbai House is considered your matrimonial home.
Nobody (including law) can stop you from living at your matrimonial home.
"They shifted my luggage to a substandard rented flat with cctv cameras and microphones in bedroom and forcing to live there. What should I do"
Firstly, who are they?
Secondly you must immediately file a police compliant if they have thrown you out of your matrimonial home.
There is of unclarity in the question you have asked. i need to know may facts before i can give you a proper leagal solution.
