Husband not living together and does not provides maintenance

Husband living separately and does not takes care of me and my child who is 3 years old. He has physically and mentally abused me too. He took all my jewelry and sold it and does not provides any money for us. I don't have money to hire a lawyer. I don't want a divorce. What should I do
You can get maintenance from him with out giving him divorce. You can also file police complaint for mental and physical abused. You can also get one time maintenance permanent alimony from him. Thanks

You should FIR against him for treating you with cruelty , and for breach of trust ie not returning your jewellery and belongings. Without asking for divorce you can ask for protection,maintenance , custody, residence , return of belonging under the Protection of women from Domestic Violence Act . You can approach the nearest protection officer who is a government officer and file your detailed complain she will file your matter in Court and thereafter you can ask for free legal aid which is provided by government for women.
