How to deal with / get rid of my abusive wife ? Please suggest.

27-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
My wife has been abusive all through out 13 yrs of my marriage. She has a habit of shouting at me for silly things, throwing away whatever she has in hand in a fit of anger, calling abusive names (she called me a 'bastard' and equivalent abuses to my daughters as well). Off late, this is becoming a daily routine, and she keeps abusing my sister, my brother, my sister-in-law, their kids etc. And she does all these in front of my kids. She wants to cut-off all ties with my family members, without any specific reason. I try my best to help her with household work - I cook sometimes, take care of kids, give them food, make them do homework, take them for various classes etc in spite of hectic work schedule. In spite of this, she keeps saying I don't help her at all but I used to help my sister-in-law before marriage. Seriously, I am fed up of this life and do not want my daughters (aged 11 and 9 yrs) to become like this. What is the way out? I doubt if she will agree to divorce.

Hi,
Before you finalise your decision to file for divorce, please attend counselling along with your wife to know the real reasons for her abusive behaviour. Couple of reasons which we have come across is financial insecurity, child abuse in her young days, biological changes in a woman etc. There may be many other reasons which you might come to know in counselling. Many a times counselling works in reviving broken relationships or may end up in a mutual consent divorce.
